We are excited to introduce you to the newest member of the Vitalita team, Sheree Fitzgerald. Sheree wants to help people cut through the fitness and diet culture nonsense and figure out what it means to move in a way that feels right for them.
Grab yourself a cuppa and get to know Sheree.
Why did you become a PT?
What would you be doing if you weren’t helping people become fit, healthy and happy?
I would be on Broadway performing something really fun like Hamilton or Chicago, of course! Or I’d be the lead singer of a rock band, touring the world.
If you could invite three influential people to dinner who would they be and why?
It’s waaaaay too hard to decide but the 3 people who come to mind are:
Ajahn Brahm, a Buddhist monk who wrote one of my favourite books: Opening the Door of Your Heart. It’s a collection of Buddhist stories that are funny, warm and have gotten me through some tough times.
Second, the late Betty White. Best known for the role of Rose on The Golden Girls, the actress, author and activist led a truly astonishing life – acting fearlessly, always motivated by kindness.
And last, but not least, singer Linda Ronstadt who had a vast career and influenced a lot of the music I love and was raised on.
What is something interesting not many people know about you?
I can solve a Rubik’s cube!
What is your favourite mantra or quote?
Start where you are, use what you have, do what you can – Arthur Ashe
Thanks Sheree!
