I first rolled out my yoga mat in 2004 but, entranced by London’s hedonistic lifestyle and climbing the career ladder, my practice was… sporadic. Diagnosed with anxiety and depression in 2011 after mistaking a panic attack for a heart attack, I knew something in my life had to change.
Vital to my recovery, yoga remains the most important tool in my survival kit; consistent practise on and off the mat has boosted my mental and emotional resilience; taught me to savour the present moment; and replenished my innate curiosity and lust for life. Helping women like you restore a sense of vitality and purpose was the logical next step.
Whether I’m teaching yoga or pilates, my aim is to create space for busy women to slow down and re-discover physical, mental and emotional ease. So, if you feel over-scheduled, have trouble switching off or can’t remember the last time you did something for yourself, I’m here for you!
They say we teach what we need to learn. As a Type A in recovery, my lesson is to slow down and I want to help you do the same.
“Wait!” I hear you cry. “I’ve got dreams and plans, and so many things to tick off my to-do list. Slowing down is NOT an option.”
What if I told you that even a short period of rest has massive benefits? That regular time out could actually help you achieve all of those things AND MORE?
DO LESS. ACHIEVE MORE.
It was hard for me to wrap my head around this too. But it works!
Modern life is hectic enough, which is why I teach slow, breath-focussed movement to help you:
- release physical tension
- get out of your head
- feel grounded and centred
- sleep better
- be more focused, deliberate and productive
- think more creatively
The tools and techniques I share will boost your physical and mental strength and flexibility so you can navigate life’s twists and turns with greater ease.
A life-long student, I am always looking for opportunities to expand my knowledge and experience.
